Frau Rabia ist über 60 und lebt zusammen mit ihren erwachsenen Kindern und deren Partner*innen in einem Haus. Ihr Leben war nie einfach, aber jetzt ist die Situation katastrophal, erzählt sie.
Keines ihrer Enkelkinder geht mehr zur Schule, sondern sie bleiben zu Hause oder werden auf die Straße geschickt, um Arbeit zu finden.
„Der globale humanitäre Druck steigt weiter an. Insbesondere der Bedarf an internationaler Nahrungsmittelhilfe hat sich seit der COVID-Pandemie fast verdreifacht. Darum ist es gerade jetzt so wichtig, Hilfe vor Ort zu leisten und Perspektiven zu schaffen.
Bis Mittwochmorgen hatte WFP fast 64.000 Menschen erreicht, die dringend Ernährungshilfe benötigen. Es wurden verzehrfertige Nahrungsmittelrationen, Nahrungsmittelpakete für Familien und warme Mahlzeiten bereitgestellt.
