In der Region Amhara – wo die Frontlinien des Konflikts in Äthiopien verlaufen - ist die Zahl der Menschen, die dringend humanitäre Hilfe benötigen, mit 3,7 Millionen am stärksten angestiegen. Von den hilfsbedürftigen Menschen in Nordäthiopien befinden sich mehr als 80 Prozent (7,8 Millionen) hinter den Frontlinien.
Nach sieben Wochen heftiger Bombardements waren 1,8 Millionen Menschen im Gazastreifen – rund 80% der Bevölkerung – auf der Flucht, gefangen und mit akutem Hunger konfrontiert. Dann kam endlich eine einwöchige humanitäre Pause.
