Die diesjährige Ausgabe des Berichts The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World ist die erste globale Auswertung dieser Art, während der Pandemie.
"Ich bin Marieke Wagenhäuser, 34 Jahre alt, und war bis vor Kurzem in Dakar, Senegal, beim Regionalbüro für Westafrika des UN-Welternährungsprogramms (WFP) beschäftigt. Laut IPC-Bericht ist die Ernährungsunsicherheit in Afghanistan auf die anhaltenden Auswirkungen von COVID-19, den bewaffneten Konflikt, den sprunghaften Anstieg der Nahrungsmittelpreise, die hohe Arbeitslosigkeit und den Einkommensverlust sowie den Beginn des komplexen und wiederkehrenden Wetterereignis La Niña zurückzuführen.
