“Seit den jüngsten Angriffen in Palma, in der Provinz Cabo Delgado, haben sich die Menschen in viele verschiedene Richtungen verstreut. Die Überlebenden sind traumatisiert. Sie mussten fliehen und ihr ganzes Hab und Gut zurücklassen. Ganze Familien wurden getrennt", sagte Antonella Daprile, WFP-Landesdirektorin in Mosambik.
1. FORTIFIED BLENDED FOODS (FBF)Fortified Blended Foods (FBFs) sind eine Mischung aus Getreide, Soja, Hülsenfrüchten, Ölsamen und Trockenmilch, die mit Vitaminen und Mineralstoffen angereichert wird. WFP verteilt vor allem eine Mais-Soja-Mischung wie auf den untenstehenden Bildern, die mit Wasser vermengt getrunken oder als Brei gegessen werden kann.2.
Die Hilfsmaßnahmen von WFP werden durch die sich verschärfenden Konflikte, die begrenzte Anzahl von Grenzübergängen und beschädigte Straßen erheblich behindert. Obwohl Hunger nach wie vor auf katastrophalem Niveau ist, musste WFP in den letzten zwei Monaten Lebensmittelpakete in Gaza reduzieren, da immer weniger Hilfsgüter über die Grenze gelangen und Vorräte knapp werden.
Beirut, 31.08.2006 – Städtische Mitarbeiter verteilten heute Nahrungsrationen des United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) an gefährdete Familien in den südlichen Vororten von Beirut, wo tausende Häuser während des 33 Tage dauernden Konflikts zwischen Israel und der Hisbollah beschädigt oder zerstört wurden.
Die Fluten gelten bislang als die schlimmsten Überschwemmungen seit Jahrzehnten in einigen Regionen und erstrecken sich von Mauretanien im Westen bis nach Kenia im Osten. Unseren Schätzungen zur Folge sind bislang mindestens 1,5 Millionen Menschen betroffen.
Im Rahmen der allgemeinen Ernährungshilfe erhalten derzeit 13,1 Millionen Notleidende im Jemen Rationen, die etwa 40 Prozent des standardisierten Lebensmittelkorbs entsprechen. WFP rechnet damit, dass ohne neue Mittel bis zu drei Millionen Menschen im Norden und weitere 1,4 Millionen im Süden betroffen sein könnten.
Das UN World Food Programme (WFP) fliegt heute mit Transporthubschraubern 80 Tonnen angereicherte Energiekekse aus seinem Depot im italienischen Brindisi nach Tunesien, um Tausende von libyschen Flüchtlingen zu versorgen.

Die Situation ist sehr schmerzhaft für alle, die in Idlib arbeiten. Am Ende des Tages möchtest man ins Bett gehen und zufrieden damit sein, alles versucht zu haben, um den Menschen zu helfen. Aber so viele neue Familien kommen in bereits überfüllten Camps an.
